Well, I mean, the other thing that will always bother me about 2003 having the narrative weight of guilt focus on Mustang killing the Rockbells is that it feels like the need to add the weight of having Mustang kill WINRY'S NICE WHITE PARENTS, because killing a a bunch of brown people just isn't bad enough to make the necessary point, apparently.

But I'm saying this both as someone who hasn't seen all of the 2003 anime and is unfairly prejudiced against it by the limited selections I have seen, so. Anyone else may have a different view, etc.
